John Stewart and guest DJS join Kid Jensen to review the week's new records.
California-born JOHN STEWART remains something of an enigma in the rock world: despite a long and impressive musical pedigree, lasting commercial success has eluded him. His first band, formed in the 50s, was called John Stewart and the Furies. During that phase two of his compositions were recorded by the hugely successful Kingston Trio, which he was invited to join in 1961 after a spell in a band called The Cumberland Three, whose format was not unlike that of The Trio. He remained with them until the group disbanded in 1967. Since that time Stewart has followed a solo career, recording some ten albums. His most recent one Bombs Away, Dream Babies contains the recently-released single ' Midnight Wind '.
