A retrospective season featuring the first decade of DENNIS potter's outstanding work for television continues With a play first shown in 1968. starring and The first of Dennis Potter 's Plays to be shot on film. It is set in his native Forest of Dean in the 1890s.
Peep in the forest a woman is savagely attacked. The inhabitants of her remote and primitive village are determined to revenge her death and a dancing bear recently brought to the village is the natural victim.
