In January, during Radio 3's Tavener Festival at the Barbican, there was a performance of a new piece by composers Paul Griffiths and Sean Gregory and students from schools in Waltham Forest, helped by members of the BBC
Symphony Orchestra.
Tommy Pearson was there and talked to some of the musicians involved.
