Festival Outreach. Following on from his Teaching Jazz series, Alyn Shipton finds out about the rich and varied programme of workshops and special events that accompanies the current London Jazz
Festival with Courtney Pine and DJs Max Reinhardt and Rita Ray. These events are compared to outreach work in countries such as the USA and Denmark. Plus an exploration of the workshops and community events that go on throughout the year, through the work of organisations such as Community Music and the Hackney Music Development Trust.
