Classic Serial: The Tree of Strife

A dramatisation of Njal 's Saga, written for radio by David Wade , based on a translation from the Icelandic by Magnus Magnusson and Herman Palsson. One of Iceland's great legends, it is broadcast in three parts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the island becoming a nation state. Narrated by Norman Rodway and Barbara Jefford.
