The Oxford and Cambridge crews contest the 140th University Boat Race for the Beefeater Gin Trophy, along the 4¼-mile course from Putney to Mortlake, with the start timed for 12.30pm. Cambridge were the surprise winners last year following a run of 16 Oxford successes in the previous 17 races. As well as live coverage of the Boat Race, at 4.20 there will also be highlights of the Head of the River Race from Mortlake to Putney, contested by a huge number of crews including Olympic gold medallists Steve Redgrave and Jonny and Greg Searle. Commentary by Barry Davies, Chris Baillieu and Dan Topolski.
