One night, on his regular London beat, PC Archibald Berkeley Willoughby is witness to the robbery of a truck loaded with whisky and the shooting of a nightwatchman. In The Case of the Guardian Angel, PC 49 is allowed by his superiors to don the mask of a dead villain and infiltrate the gang responsible - typically dangerous and exciting adventure for the popular copper from the 40s radio serial.
