The domestic service problem has for some time been growing more acute, but only recently have there been signs that it is attracting the public attention which, as a serious national question, it deserves (as the interest in a recent broadcast in the ' Boomerangs ' series indicated). The aim of this new series of weekly talks is to give the whole subject a thorough airing from as many representative points of view as possible, and to suggest some measures to improve the present situation.
Mrs. Emelie Waller will open the series by reviewing some of the questions that the public is asking
