Ramadan Journeys

The last in the series of personal journeys for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Ahdaf Soueif's reputation as a major writer both in the west and the Arab world has been established by the publication of her novel In the Eye of the Sun. Although she lives in England, part of her still considers Cairo to be her real home. In this programme she revisits some of the Egyptian places she writes about.
