Spain on a Plate

on BBC One London

First of a five-part series in which Maria Jose Sevilla takes a gastronomic journey through Spain. Her first stop is the Basque country, where hake in green sauce, bream in cider, and a fisherman's stew called marmitako are just some of the recipes on the menu. Maria's trip takes her from fishing on the Cantabrian Sea to sampling the new season's cider in the Pyrenees, both traditionally men-only affairs.
