The first of three specially recorded recitals this week in which leading Baroque violinists perform music by the greatest virtuoso of the 17th century and talk about their choice of programme with George Pratt. Tonight. Monica Huggett and Trio Sonnerie perform the second and third sonatas from Biber's 1681 set of Sonatae violino solo and the motet Nisi dominus, in which they are joined by bass Giles Davies.
