Rupert Hazell was broadcasting in the Marconi House days, and appeared in the Royal Command Performance in 1923. His partner, Elsie Day, began her career with Seymour Hicks at the Adelphi.
Arthur Askey was born in Liverpool and went to school with Tommy Handley. He has broadcast constantly since 1932.
When Billy Cotton is not making films, his hobby is breaking track records. During this year he has carried off a 1st and 2nd prize at Brooklands, and he came in 5th in the 500 mile race recently.
Les Allen and Kitty Masters have only been working on the halls together since September.
This is Leslie Hatton's first solo broadcast, although he is a very old stage performer. He started his career at the age of twelve.
Will Hay has just finished a film at Yarmouth. While there, he went down in a diver's suit, stayed down for ten minutes and walked on the sea-bed.
