John Reynders, who broadcasts with his orchestra about twenty times a year, has had a wide experience of. the entertainment world. He entered the musical profession at the age of thirteen, and soon obtained his first engagement at the Gaiety Theatre in London as violinist under the late Ivan Caryll. He subsequently toured as orchestral leader with many of the big musical-comedy successes of the Gaiety, Daly's, and Adelphi Theatres. At twenty he was conducting a George Edwardes touring production. After the war Reynders entered the cinema field, conducted the orchestra for The Four Horse-men of the Apocalypse at the London Palace Theatre, and later became Director of Music at the Tivoli Cinema in the Strand. He has done a lot of work for the films, and arranged the music for Emlyn Williams 's picture A Night Alone.
