Match of the Day

on BBC One London

Gary Lineker presents highlights from today's FA Premiership matches including the Anfield meeting between Liverpool and Arsenal. The Merseyside outfit have made an indifferent start to the campaign following their L25 million summer spending spree and the fans expressed disquiet following a recent 1-0 home defeat to newly promoted Watford. Despite a rash of injuries to the likes of England centre-back Tony Adams and Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp , the Gunners' early season form suggests they will again figure prominently in the title race.
There's also the usual roundup of goals and talking points from the day's other fixtures which include Leeds
United's trip to White Hart Lane to play Spurs, and the Selhurst Park clash between Wimbledon and Chelsea. Commentary comes from John Motson , Jon Champion and Tony Gubba , with studio analysis from Alan Hansen and Trevor Brooking. Producer Paul McNamara ; Editor
