The Central Hall is one of the principal centres of Methodism in the Midlands. The Rev. Noel Hutchcroft, the Superintendent, succeeded the Rev. E. Benson Perkins. He had previously been at the Queen's Hall Mission, Blackburn, where he was largely concerned in work among the unemployed. When he was in the North he broadcast from Manchester as a baritone soloist, and since going to Birmingham he has broadcast on the Midland wavelength.
