Delius as I Knew Him
One of the most moving of musical collaborations began in 1928 when Eric Fenby wrote offering his help to Delius who, then in his old age. was blind and paralysed. Working with his young assistant Delius was able to go on composing. ERIC FENBY introduces recordings of music by Delius on the anniversary of his death 40 years ago on 10 June 1934, and recalls their extraordinary partnership.
