Joe Tynan is a liberal senator and a rising star in Congress who believes in supporting the people who put him into office. One day Joe may even get to be president....
But suddenly the political pressure is on when he finds himself caught between two opposing political factions.
In addition, his marriage is in jeopardy, as he gets involved with a beautiful lawyer. This story of love and ambition was the first feature film written by its star, Alan Alda.
