The Coronation:Celebrating the 50thAnniversary

on BBC One London

The Queen is joined by senior members of the royal family at Westminster Abbey for a service, led by the Dean of Westminster, to commemorate her coronation. The congregation includes many of those involved in the ceremony and reflects events on that historic occasion.
Huw Edwards provides live commentary, looks back over a thousand years of coronations in the Abbey, and recalls the pioneering television coverage watched by millions 50 years ago. See also An Unforgettable Coronation tonight at 10.35pm. Director/Producer Ian Russell
