Blue Peter Special Assignment

on BBC One London

Twin Towns
This week:
Peter Purves in Warsaw and Lesley Judd in Coventry
Coventry was flattened during the Second World War and Warsaw was systematically destroyed. The Twin Town movement was virtually born in the smoking ruins of Coventry Cathedral. PETER discovers how Warsaw rose from the ashes, and learns that Chopin, who was a boy in Warsaw 150 years ago, composed the music that is still the voice of Polish freedom.
LESLEY finds out what it really means to be sent to Coventry, and understands why it was so important that a new Coventry Cathedral should be built alongside the ruins of the old.
