Real Dreams
Into the dark with Federico Fellini
'What I really like is inventing a house, and a childish pleasure of decorating it, of imagining agreeable surroundings and living in them just for two or three days, like a tourist', says Federico Fellini , who was awarded this year's Fellowship of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Fellini has been pursuing his career in his own fantastical, bizarre way in films which stretch from La Strada to Ginger and Fred. La dolce vita brought him world notoriety, and 81, Giulietta of the Spirits,
Casanova and City of Women have kept him in the headlines. Gavin Miller visited him at the Cinecitta Studios in Rome.
