In the last programme in the series, Val visits the west of Ireland, a region of outstanding natural beauty. Mary O'Hara takes Val to the Aran Islands where her husband Pat was born. 'Aran of the Saints' is one of Ireland's holiest places. The popular Irish musician, Davy Spillane , who makes and plays the Uilleann pipes, explores the lunar landscape of the Burren with Val and performs a piece specially written for the series.
