This is the time of year when those with sufficient money and leisure are thinking of departing to Switzerland and exchanging the dark English winter for the sunny skies and snowy slopes of the Alps. There are no better sports in existence than ski-ing, skating and tobogganing (to say nothing of ice-hockey), all of which have their centre in Switzerland.
