Performance on 3: Towards the Millennium

Chris de Souza introduces the first of three concerts which mark the end of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra's Towards the Millennium series. Every year since 1991 the CBSO has moved through the 20th century decade by decade performing significant works in a celebration of the last 100 years. These three final concerts combine works composed in the last ten years with new works commissioned to mark the millennium.
