World Cup Grandstand

on BBC One London

England v Holland
(Group F) live from Cagliari. Scotland v Sweden
(Group C) from Genoa.
A mouth-watering double-bill as England meet European champions, Holland, and Scotland face tough opponents, Sweden.
For many observers, England's match with Holland represents the most tantalising of the first-phase encounters. The Dutch are strongly fancied to add a World Cup-winning campaign to their successful time in West Germany two years ago.
England, beaten 3-1 by Holland in the European Championship, will be looking to the match as a realistic measure of whether they can go on to win the World Cup themselves. Desmond Lynam introduces the whole match live from Cagliari with Bobby Charlton. Commentators are John Motson and Trevor Brooking. Highlights of the first half of Scotland's clash with Sweden will be shown at half-time in the England v Holland match and the whole of the second half follows the conclusion of England's match. Commentator from Genoa is Barry Davies.
Plus the goals from Brazil's
(Group C) match with Costa Rica.
