People of the Pacific Century

on BBC Radio 4 FM

Community Spirit The children of the Pacific have grown up in societies that were forged when people were poor and struggling. and the priorities were food and strong leadership. Liberal values and pressure for change are producing social strains and discontent as the countries mature and become richer. In the last programme of the series, Mary Goldring looks at the priorities of the next generation and whether the emergence of a genuine Pacific community is going to be one of them.
