Marie Ragghianti, a battered wife and mother of three, wants more from life for herself and her children. Working her way through college to eventually become the first woman to head Tennessee's parole board, she blows the whistle on the corruption she finds all around her. Hounded out of her job by those on the take, she faces her biggest challenge - the fight for justice.
