Things have grown worse between Mike and Vivien, chiefly due to an incident at Sally's party when Vicky mentioned the bracelet. Sally has fixed a date for returning to * Stephanie and she and Richard are moving into Clare House. Mrs. Maggs is back and has made her peace with Mrs. O'Doherty. With Mother away on her holiday things seem very quiet at home and I've had time to think about Jenny in Rome and to wonder about Alec and Louise while I tackle the weeds in the garden.
