MRS. DALE'S DIARY

on Light Programme

Repeated on Wednesday at 11.16 a.m. Mrs. Dale writes:
Poor Sue has chickenpox and is feeling very sorry for herself! Mrs. Cunningham, Richard's secretary, hasn't been well too; Richard is rather concerned, but Sally thinks there's no real need to worry. Bob is disappointed because he cannot get permission for the snack bar he planned to have at the garage unless he can provide adequate parking space; he's planning to try for the land opposite where George used to have his caravan. (Incidentally, I saw Bill Harvill 's interview with Jenny in the paper and didn't care for it much.) Dr. Smithson has arrived and started work.
