June, 1944. The Allied invasion of Europe has been postponed because of bad weather. As waiting troops grow restive and the rain still pours down, the meteorologists forecast an improvement which will bring tolerable, though not ideal conditions. Commander of the Allied forces, General Eisenhower makes a historic decision: Tuesday, 6 June will be D-Day.
