Script by Robert Turley
Mrs. Dale writes:
Mother has been worried because she hasn't had many customers in the antique shop; and when Grandfather Dale went there to buy Sally a birthday present they had a ridiculous quarrel over the payment, after which Mother refused to come to Sally's birthday party. Sally, too, has been upset over an argument with Mr. Hichens, and we've all been upset because Elsie imagines Mr. Bonner has proposed! The Maggs are in trouble too - with dry rot. All in all, it's been a worrying week, the one bright spot being William's news that he may get a teaching job in the Midlands.
