Composer of the Week: Durufle

on BBC Radio 3

Donald Macleod investigates one of the many unsolved mysteries about Durufle's life: why he composed so little - fewer than 20 works in total. Today's programme is devoted to Durufle's music from the Second World War years, and his setting of the Requiem, Op 9- his only composition between 1941-60.
Andante (Andante and Scherzo, Op 8) BBC Concert Orchestra, conductor Barry Wordsworth
