Storm Alert
9.30pm BBC1

It seemed that every night in October, the news featured more and more footage of worse and worse flooding. Certainly October brought the highest rainfall some areas have had for years and resulted in rivers flowing at up to ten times their normal levels and serious flooding to England and Wales.
This 999 special captures some of the human dramas that the news cameras might have missed, recording the effects on ordinary people whose lives were suddenly turned upside down by the dramatic weather and the emergency services who came to their rescue. There's also a second chance to see other amazing stories of people caught out by the weather.
