Hindemith's Cello Sonata in A minor. Op. 11, No. 3, is an early work. but marks the beginning of the composer's development along new lines. The work, consists of four movements linked to make two sections. The first section is particularly interesting, for towards the end the use of the twelve-note scale is in evidence.
