Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance

on BBC One London

Coverage from the Royal Albert Hall in London, where the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the royal family join Royal British Legion members for this annual event.

The service is conducted by the Rt Rev Michael Mann, and the festival ends with a minute's silence as thousands of poppy petals fall in memory of those lives lost in combat. Julian Tutt describes the scene, and it is narrated by Richard Baker.

(Live coverage of the Remembrance Sunday service from the Cenotaph can be seen tomorrow at 10.30am)
