Match of the Day Live

on BBC One London

Introduced by Jimmy Hill Chelsea v Everton
Two of last season's prize-winners provide an intriguing clash in the first Canon League fixture of 1984-85 to be shown live.
Match of the Day goes to Stamford Bridge to see how the 'new' Chelsea, back in the First Division after five years, shape up against the FA Cup-holders Everton.
Both clubs finished on the crest last May, Chelsea as Second Division Champions for the first time and Everton going home from Wembley with their first trophy for 14 years. Commentator JOHN MOTSON
