Oliver Locker -Lampson
During the Great War Commander Locker - Lampson took a British armoured car unit across Russia from the White Sea to the Caucasus to take part in the fighting in the north of Turkey.
In the course of these operations it was necessary for Locker-Lampson to cross twenty miles of plain ' with only one abominable track' in an open touring car accompanied only by driver, orderly, and interpreter.
How they were ambushed by Kurds-enemies so cruel that Locker-Lampson was advised to poison himself rather than fall into their hands alive-and now they got away, will be told in this exciting talk.
