r Following the 11 September tragedy, Ground Force received many requests from viewers to help the people of New York. In tonight's special, Alan Titchmarsh , Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh join forces with the New York Regeneration Project to surprise their founder, actress Bette Midler. The project has some 60 vacant lots across the city and the team are challenged to transform one of them into a relaxing garden where families can grow fresh fruit and vegetables.
