GRAHAM STOREY, Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge, has completed the work of the late Humphry House in preparing « new edition of the Notebooks and Papers of Gerard Manley Hopkins, to be published in the autumn. He speaks about the new material that has appeared since the 1937 edition and of the insight it provides into a crucial phase of Hopkins' life and into his creative powers as poet, artist, and musician.
