The First Lady: Love Thy Neighbour

on BBC One London

by Sheila Hodgson
Starring Thora Hird, Robert Keegan, James Grout
and Henry Knowles

Is it possible for people from totally different backgrounds to live peaceably as neighbours? Miss Vyner's house has been converted into two flats by the Council. The lower one is now occupied by a noisy, working-class couple. But Miss Vyner still regards the entire house as her own property to do what she likes with. Sarah unwittingly takes on the role of peacemaker and finds herself in the middle of a major battle with no quarter given on either side.
