Zinka Milanov , the Czech soprano, has established herself as a singer of international repute during the last two years. In 1937 she was chosen by Toscanini to sing in the performances of the Verdi Requiem at Salzburg, and when the great conductor performed this work at Queen's Hall last year, she was again one of the soloists. During the past few months she has been appearing in opera in America with great success, particularly as Aida, and as Leonora in II Trovatore.
She returns to London again this year to sing under Toscanini in two performances of the Beethoven Mass.
