In 1925. when he was still at Oxford. Lord Clark was invited by the 60-year-old Bernard Berenson to help him prepare a new edition of his Florentine Drawings. Mr Berenson was then at the height of his reputation as an expert on Italian painting.
In this part of the six readings he is giving from his autobiography, Lord Clark describes the experiences that followed.
