by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck Though organist at the Calvinist Oude Kerk in Amsterdam, Sweelinck is thought to have had Catholic sympathies. In the first of two programmes, THE SIXTEEN, directed by HARRY CHRISTOPHERS , perform motets from his collection of 1619.
