Hodges seems pretty keen to get arrested and Cane. his warder in the open prison to which he fs sent, keeps taking him for questioning. Julia is the daughter of the chief constable and a recent divorcee who is finding a new meaning in life as a prison visitor. She cannot understand why Hodges Is always so tired. What can he be up to at nights?
