It was on October 21, 1805, now commemorated in Trafalgar Day, that Nelson fell in the hour of victory.
Sir Hilary Blood, a former Governor of Barbados, who has recently revisited the West Indies, describes Nelson's two Caribbean bases, Port Royal and English Harbour, as they were in Nelson's time and as they are today.
