Bowlers from all parts of the world play each other on a league basis for the highest individual honour in the game - the World Singles Championship. They're out for the scalp of Westcountryman David Bryant who won the title in 1966 in Sydney, Australia.

Once again the No 1 court at Wimbledon is the scene of this great ladies' team competition. Two years ago - the last occasion they met at Wimbledon-the United States won in a very close finish. This seven-match series promises to be just as close.
