Possibly the most musically perfect of all Mozart's operas, Cosi Fan Tutte is, on the face of it, a comedy about four young lovers, a cynical older man and a scheming maid; but it is also a comedy with a dark underbelly, dealing with the whole nature of romantic love pitted against basic human failings.
