Cosi Fan Tutte
Live from the Royal Albert Hall , London.
Possibly the most musically perfect of all Mozart's operas, Cosi Fan Tutte is, on the face of it, a comedy about four young lovers, a cynical older man and a scheming maid; but it is also a comedy with a dark underbelly, dealing with the whole nature of romantic love pitted against basic human failings. Introduced by Stephanie Hughes.
Glyndebourne Chorus, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, conductor Ivan Fischer
