Bert and the Ben. In 1932
Bert Bissell from Dudley climbed Ben Nevis for the first time. In 1945 he built a Peace Cairn on the summit to commemorate the lives lost in the Second World War. His 100th ascent in 1988 was a remarkable feat - for by then Bert was 86 years old. John Yates reports on Bert's obsession with mountains and his lifetime's work for peace.
