Sophia Loren - Her Own Story

Sophia Loren was born Sophia Scicolone, in Fascist Italy during the mid 1930s. She was illegitimate and poor. This fascinating ' rags to riches' story traces her early years, when her mother first determines that Sophia will have every opportunity denied to her. Following the actress's screen debut as an extra in Quo Vadis, through her Academy Award-winning performance in Two Women, culminating in her marriage to Carlo Ponti and the birth of a long-awaited child.
