Scandinavian Acoustic Double
Bill Jez Nelson presents a double bill of two Scandinavian groups, Atomic, and the Kornstad Trio, led by Hakon Kornstad , whose melodic free saxophone playing exemplifies the new Scandinavian sound. The all-Norwegian trio is completed by bassist Mats Eilertsen and Paal Nilssen-Love on drums. Atomic features bassist Ingerbrigt Haker-Flaten , drummer
Paal Nilssen-Love (also in the Kornstad Trio), and pianist Havard Wiik , and is fronted by Fredrik Lundkvist on saxophone and Magnus Broo on trumpets.
