HARRY CARPENTER intrOduces the first day's play in this international team championship at the King s Course, Gleneagles Hotel.
The four home countries, together with powerful teams from the USA, Australasia, Europe and The Rest of the World, compete for £25,000 prize money, £1,500 going to each of the five players in the winning team.
BILLY CASPER captains the United States team which includes LEE TREVINO and JERRY PATE. England , last year's winners, are captained by TONY JACKLIN.
